rockin good times

well, another book club meeting is in the books. I'm so glad i wasn't the only one who thought she should end up with nabu. now we're reading "Red Scarf Girl: A memoir of the cultural revolution" by Ji-Li Jiang. The ISBN is 0-06-446208-0. Shannon is going to post (congrats on figuring it out) the rest of the books. The rice saki was soooo nasty. The dumplings and avacodo sushi were grand, a good time was had by all. I got kris home by 8:59. We're having the next one in Lackawacawanna on Sat Nov 18th was it? Correct me if i'm wrong on that one shannon. book club rocks! west side mofo! true that peeps.

They are warming it and having it after lunch as per the owner of the company.

If you go to Amazon and use their "buy used" link- you can get the next book for about a dollar plus S&H.

oddly there was hardly any drinking last night. I think the nasty sake put a damper on it.

I think I'm going to try and use that place that lets you borrow the books and bring them back for free... I think it's called a Library... but I'm not sure since I haven't been in one in YEARS!!

Shannon, did the kegworks guys like the Sake? We need an update. I was at the liquor store over the weekend and saw a Mag of it!

Mike said the owner and his friend Chris said it was good. They are Sake drinkers. It had not gone bad- that is how it was supposed to taste. However, true Sake is in fact milky in texture. We had a wine-type of Sake. Mike was not a fan.

Kelley's cookies were great! As were all of the other snacks. Thanks Shannon.

Gotta love a job that they let you drink! I've had sake a few other times. Each time it was different. I've had the "milky" stuff and that wasn't too bad. I've had sake that burned and made you say WOW that had a kick. I've also had sake that taked kinda like almonds that was quite pleasant and yummy. Didn't care at all for the white one at book club though.
